Baker Botts Advises Jaguar Fund No. I, L.P. on its Acquisition of Telefónica’s El Salvadoran Operations
Deal Description: Jaguar Fund No. I, L.P. (“Jaguar”) today announced that its subsidiary General International Telecom Ltd., has agreed to acquire Telefónica S.A.’s (“TEF”) operations in El Salvador, Telefónica Móviles El Salvador, S.A. de C.V. (“TEF El Salvador”), one of El Salvador’s largest mobile service providers. The transaction values TEF El Salvador at an enterprise value of approximately $144 million.
The acquisition is subject to certain customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the first half of 2022.
