Christa Brown-Sanford Selected as “Women Who STEAM” Honoree

DALLAS, August 26, 2021 – The Dallas Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, is honoring Baker Botts partner Christa Brown-Sanford during its 2021 Virtual “Women Who STEAM” Awards Luncheon, to be held on Friday, August 27 at 11 AM.

Brown-Sanford is one of eight diverse, dynamic, female STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) honorees. They were chosen based on their commitment to creating a pipeline to STEAM education and careers for young people and especially young girls of color.

She is the firmwide Deputy Department Chair of Baker Botts’ Intellectual Property Department, co-chair of the firm's Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and serves on the firm's Executive Committee. She also serves as the president of the Junior League of Dallas.

The Dallas Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, comprised of more than 50 women linked in friendship to transform the Dallas community through service, has been at the helm of numerous vital community service programs.

The Chapter’s signature STEAM Academy for 7th-12th grade female scholars of color is in its 8th year of cultivating self-confidence, critical thinking and leadership capabilities. The Dallas Chapter of The Links, Incorporated champions diversity and inclusion in STEAM fields, celebrating the contributions of women of color and inspiring young girls of color to pursue careers in these areas.
