Three Baker Botts Partners Named to D CEO Magazine’s “Dallas 500” List
DALLAS – December 21, 2020 – Baker Botts partners Christa Brown-Sanford, Samantha Crispin and Tim Durst were among the lawyers featured in D CEO’s “Dallas 500,” an annual list that recognizes the most influential leaders in North Texas.
Christa Brown-Sanford is the Deputy Chair of the Intellectual Property Department. She has a full-time patent practice, with the ability to advise on a number of different issues – working together with her clients to be a true counselor. With an electrical engineering background and keen business sense, her ability to communicate with anyone, from clients, opposing counsel, inventors, or patent examiners alike, in a clear and digestible way, underscores her commitment to being a true partner at every stage of the process.
Samantha Crispin is a seasoned M&A lawyer with over 20 years of experience helping publicly traded and privately held corporate clients and private equity funds in complex M&A, capital markets and strategic business transactions. She leads the firm's global Corporate TMT pillar, is Chair of the Dallas Corporate group and serves on the firm's Executive Committee. Her clients include those in TMT, energy and energy tech, infrastructure and construction products, and mobility and consumer products industries.
Tim Durst is a Chambers-ranked, first-chair trial lawyer with years of courtroom experience handling complex and high-stakes disputes. He has taken to trial a wide range of cases including patent, trade secrets, contract, fraud, and fiduciary duty disputes. He has tried cases in Texas and on both coasts, in state and federal courts, and before arbitration panels. He has handled litigation in more than 20 different states and has worked within a variety of industries, including technology, energy, banking, retail, and health care. Mr. Durst is the Partner-in-Charge of the Baker Botts Dallas office and has chaired the firm’s Dallas Trial Department.
