Baker Botts Partner Keri Brown to Serve on State Bar of Texas Pro Bono Workgroup
HOUSTON, TX, November 5, 2020 – Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international law firm, announced today that partner Keri Brown, who is also firmwide Partner-in-Charge of Corporate Social Responsibility, was invited to serve on the State Bar of Texas Pro Bono Workgroup, a statewide workgroup focused on pro bono on a systemic level. Ms. Brown’s participation in the Workgroup aims to ensure the meaningful progress in developing a culture of pro bono in Texas and increase access to justice for low-income residents.
“Legal aid groups that serve low-income Texans have a critical need for support and funding for their initiatives,” Ms. Brown said. “I am honored to have been asked to serve on the Pro Bono Workgroup and I look forward to helping ensure that my fellow Texans have access to justice.”
The Workgroup includes members of the judiciary, local bars, law schools, legal aid programs, and other stakeholders. Ms. Brown is the second Baker Botts partner to serve on the panel. She is succeeding Baker Botts partner Travis Sales.
