Baker Botts Names New Partners-in-Charge in New York and San Francisco
NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, November 11, 2020 – Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international law firm, has announced that Terence Rozier-Byrd has been named Partner-in-Charge of the New York office, and Sam Dibble has been named Partner-in-Charge of the San Francisco office. Mr. Rozier-Byrd is succeeding Rob Scheinfeld, Chair of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Department, and Mr. Dibble is succeeding Patricia Stanton.

Since 2017, Mr. Rozier-Byrd has served as Hiring Partner for Baker Botts’ New York office. He also serves on the firm’s Investment Committee, Emerging Company and Venture Capital Committee, New York Private Equity Pillar Working Group and is the deputy chair of the Baker Botts African-American Affinity Group. Mr. Rozier-Byrd concentrates his practice on the representation of private investment fund sponsors, institutional investors and asset managers. He represents private equity, venture capital and hedge fund sponsors on fund formation and ongoing regulatory, compliance and operational matters. He also represents institutional investors, including state pension plans, corporate pension plans, corporate venture capital funds and family offices, in connection with their private fund investments, direct venture capital investments, co-investments and secondary transactions in private funds and private companies. Outside of the firm, Mr. Rozier-Byrd is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board of Boston University School of Law and also serves on the Investor Advisory Council of the Alumni Ventures Group.
Mr. Dibble serves as a Deputy Department Chair for Baker Botts’ West Coast corporate group and co-chairs West Coast outreach for the firm’s Private Equity Pillar. His practice includes a broad array of corporate transactions, including leveraged buyouts, asset sales and other types of mergers and acquisitions. He helps clients raise money for their businesses in transactions including early stage financings, bank loans, complex issuances of high yield bonds, convertible debt and equity securities. Food, beverage, consumer product and technology companies routinely turn to Mr. Dibble for guidance in organizational matters, operation and fundraising, including securities offerings and M&A transactions. He has represented public companies, investment funds, high net worth individuals, and privately held businesses in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other significant transactions. Mr. Dibble’s leadership experience also includes service as President of the San Francisco Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and chair of the Corporations Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California.
