State Bar of Texas Board of Directors Honors Baker Botts Partner Keri Brown with Resolution

HOUSTON, January 24, 2020 – Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international law firm, announced today that the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors honored Houston Partner Keri Brown with a resolution at their board meeting for her work in pro bono.

Ms. Brown serves as a trusted advisor to some of the nation’s most prominent individuals on complex federal estate, gift and income tax litigation and controversy matters, including disputes and litigation with the Department of Justice and the Internal Revenue Service.

As chair of the Houston office’s pro bono committee, Ms. Brown coordinates and helps manage the office’s pro bono matters, working closely with the firm’s pro bono referral organizations to ensure access to justice for underserved populations in the United States.

The State Bar of Texas previously honored Ms. Brown with their 2018 Pro Bono Coordinator Award. Other awards she has received include the 2019 Texas Appleseed Pro Bono Leadership Award, and the Houston Bar Association President’s Award for 2010 and 2013. She was also named to the Houston Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” Class of 2018.
