Baker Botts’ Partner Christa Brown-Sanford Awarded the “Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology Award” by National Diversity Council
HOUSTON, January 14, 2020 - Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international law firm, announced today that Christa Brown-Sanford has been awarded National Diversity Council’s “Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology Award.”
The annual list highlights “the highest caliber of executive female leaders within the technology industry.” The award looks for a “top leader in her organization and profession,” someone who “operates with the highest integrity and ethical behavior,” and acts as an “effective role model who inspires other women and is active in mentoring the next generation of female professionals in the industry,” among other selection criteria.
Ms. Brown-Sanford, a partner based in Baker Botts’ Dallas office, is the firmwide Deputy Chair of the Intellectual Property Department. She provides guidance on patent procurement, patent portfolio development, patent litigation, and patent licensing – particularly involving telecommunications, blockchain, electronics, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, software, personal mobility, and other cutting-edge technologies. She also assists companies in developing and managing their patent portfolios and generating revenue from their intellectual property assets through licensing campaigns.
The award ceremony will take place in Houston at the 16th Annual Diversity & Leadership Conference on April 21, 2020.
