HOUSTON, January 8, 2020 - Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international law firm, announced today that Natalie Gonzales has been named one of Venture Capital Journal’s inaugural “Rising Stars” for 2020.
The list features 40 up-and-coming professionals in the venture field under the age of 40. From a pool of over 120 nominees, the selection criteria included “the deals they are involved in, industry accolades, obstacles they overcame, how fast they are rising in title and stature, what responsibilities they oversee, and how they contribute to thought leadership,” according to the journal.
Ms. Gonzales, a partner based in Baker Botts’ Houston office, practices in all areas of intellectual property law, including patent litigation, patent prosecution and licensing. Ms. Gonzales represents both patent owners and defendants in all stages of complex patent litigation involving a variety of technologies. Her litigation experience also includes copyright, trade secret, and Lanham Act actions. Ms. Gonzales also advises clients on IP-related aspects of corporate transactions and licensing agreements, and practices before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
As part of her diverse IP practice, Ms. Gonzales assists emerging companies with their IP and transactional legal needs. Ms. Gonzales co-leads the firm’s Houston partnerships with accelerator networks Station Houston and The Cannon, and also leads the firm’s efforts in assisting Texas Medical Center accelerator TMCx.
