Ms. Neils’ practice focuses on representing companies and individuals on matters related to white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, regulatory enforcement, corporate compliance and complex civil litigation. Ms. Neils has significant trial experience in both the federal and state courts.
Ms. Neils has broad expertise in diverse substantive areas from the FCPA to health care fraud and is widely recognized by her peers as someone who can handle even the most difficult of cases and clients. She served as an Assistant United States Attorney (“AUSA”) in both the Southern District of New York (SDNY) and the District of New Jersey, and most recently, as the Chief of the Complex Fraud/Major Crimes Unit in the SDNY. During her more than 11 years as an AUSA, Ms. Neils worked on a wide variety of complex, often-multinational, white collar cases, including securities fraud, accounting fraud, bank fraud, Bank Secrecy Act, tax fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, health care fraud, art fraud, insurance fraud, FCPA, U.S. sanctions and obstruction of justice matters.
