“Richard is a perfect fit for the LCLD program because of his hard work, exemplary client service and leadership potential,” said Richard Husseini, Partner and Tax Department Chair. “I am thrilled that Richard is participating in the same leadership program that several Baker Botts partners participated in when they were senior associates,” Husseini added.
A 2006 graduate from Texas A&M University, Richard earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law in 2009. Richard handles all aspects of estate planning and estate administration for high net worth individuals with a principal focus on the design, implementation, and defense of advanced asset transfer and business succession strategies. He also represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in estate and trust administration, and charities. Richard started his career with Baker Botts and has grown into one of the leading lawyers in his department. Additionally, Richard is the Deputy Chair of the Hispanic Latino Affinity Group at Baker Botts.
Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 260 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession. The LCLD Fellows program has trained more than a thousand mid-career attorneys since 2011. Richard will participate in a learning program that includes in-person conferences, training in the fine points of legal practice and peer-group projects to foster collaboration and build relationships.
