Michael Perry Moderates ABA Program “Lessons from the Merger Litigation Wave”

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 26, 2017 - The past several years have witnessed a wave of merger litigation, with the FTC and DOJ going to court to challenge high-profile deals such as Aetna/Humana, Anthem/Cigna, GE/Electrolux, Staples/Office Depot, Sysco/US Foods, and numerous healthcare mergers. Baker Botts Antitrust Partner Michael Perry is moderating the American Bar Association’s program titled, “Lessons from the Merger Litigation Wave” on January 27, 2017 from 12 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Those participating will offer practical insights from the front lines of these and other recent antitrust merger trials.

Mr. Perry recently joined Baker Botts after serving as Counsel to the Director of the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Competition from 2015 to 2016. In that front-office role, he was directly involved in many of the agency's most important antitrust enforcement actions, including both merger and non-merger matters. He played an integral role in the FTC's challenge to the proposed Sysco/U.S. Foods merger and other high-profile cases such as FTC v. Actavis, FTC v. Cephalon, and FTC v. St. Luke's Health System.

Press is invited to attend tomorrow’s event. Register for the program here
