- Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international law firm, announced today that Partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Antitrust practice group, Stephen Weissman, was selected as a 2016 Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Antitrust Trailblazer by The National Law Journal (NLJ).Mr. Weissman, who returned to the firm late last year after serving as Deputy Director for the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC’s) Bureau of Competition from 2013 to 2015, has represented companies and individuals in antitrust investigations by the Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission, as well as in antitrust and commercial litigation in U.S. courts. In addition to representing companies in high-stakes merger investigations, he has acted as lead trial counsel in a number of cases including both bench and jury trials and argued appeals in multiple U.S. Courts of Appeal.
