Texas Lawyer: Baker Botts Earns “Deal Of the Week” for Frozen Food Company Transaction



HOUSTON, September 12, 2014 -- Texas Lawyer has selected Windsor Quality Holdings, a Houston-based frozen food company, in its pending purchase by Ajinomoto North America for $800 million as its “Deal of the Week” for the week of September 12, 2014. Baker Botts is representing Windsor Quality Holdings in this transaction.

On September 10, 2014, Ajinomoto Co. Inc., a Tokyo-based, worldwide leader in high-quality processed foods and seasoning, has entered into an agreement, through its subsidiary Ajinomoto North America, Inc., to acquire Texas-based Windsor Quality Holdings LP.

The acquisition will enable Ajinomoto to combine its global strength in food manufacturing with Windsor’s strong market position, distribution network, sales capabilities and frozen food production facilities throughout the U.S. The transaction represents Ajinomoto’s largest acquisition to date.
