Baker Botts Continues to Build Visibility in Chambers USA Survey, Rankings Book



HOUSTON, May 24, 2013 -- Baker Botts continues to enhance its visibility in the annual Chambers USA survey results. This year, the Baker Botts made inaugural appearances in two categories -- National Real Estate; Texas Capital Markets: Debt & Equity -- in the current edition of Chambers USA released today (May 24) for work performed during 2012.

Overall, Baker Botts was recognized for excellence in providing legal services to its clients in 34 practice areas.

Chambers editors ranked 14 of the firm’s national practice areas, including two Band 1 recognitions for Energy: Oil & Gas (Transactional) and Projects: Oil & Gas.

The editors also ranked 20 of the Baker Botts‘ regional practice areas, including Band 1 recognitions for Texas-based groups in Bankruptcy/Restructuring, Corporate/M&A, Energy: State Regulatory & Litigation (Electricity), Environment, Intellectual Property, Real Estate, Tax and Technology: Corporate Counsel. Additionally, the Firm also increased to a Band 1 ranking in Texas Energy: State Regulatory & Litigation (Electricity).

Individually, 22 Baker Botts lawyers earned Band 1 honors, while a total of 88 lawyers were recognized as “Leaders in Their Fields.”
