HOUSTON, February 27, 2013 -- Baker Botts Senior Associate Christa Brown-Sanford has been selected for the 2013 Fellows Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), a national organization made up of the legal profession’s top general counsels and managing partners.
Sanford joins a class of 160 lawyers from around the United States who have been selected as LCLD Fellows, in the year-long professional development program which focuses, in large part, on relationship building.
Omar Alaniz (2012) and Terence Rozier-Byrd (2011) were the firm’s previous fellows.
Founded in 2009, LCLD’s goal is to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. Since its inception, LCLD has developed innovative programs in addition to the Fellows Program to address “pipeline” issues that face the profession by encouraging minorities and women to enter the law and supplying programs to increase their likelihood of success in law school and beyond.
