HOUSTON, December 10, 2012 -- Baker Botts L.L.P. Partner Hillary Holmes (Houston) is one of five finalists for the Chambers Women in Law “Up and Coming Energy & Projects Lawyer of the Year” award to be presented during a January 15, 2013 ceremony in New York City.
This Chambers awards program reflects women lawyers’ commercial achievements as well as their outstanding contributions to furthering the advancement of women in the law.
Holmes’ work on a wide range of corporate matters that was included in Chambers USA surveys submissions earlier this year, and her support of the Firm’s mentoring culture and development of women lawyers, earned her the nomination, according to Chambers Women in Law Awards program officials.
In endorsing Holmes’ nomination to Chambers officials, Houston office Partner in Charge Maria Boyce said, “Hillary is a leader in the Corporate department and is always willing to help others in their practice. In addition to her practice, Hillary gives a great deal to the community through her tireless pro bono efforts and advocacy for those in need, including women who have been the victims of domestic violence.”
Last year, Firm Partner Bridget Moore was a finalist for the “Up and Coming Regulatory Lawyer” award from the Chambers Women in Law program.
