In 2022, Baker Botts opened its Singapore office, which will be led by some of Asia’s most experienced lawyers who advise clients on inbound and outbound business in Singapore and across the region.
Acting as an Asia-Pacific hub for the firm’s energy, infrastructure and project finance capabilities, and working closely with our colleagues in the U.S., London and the Middle East, our Singapore office is a center for cross-office collaboration, providing premier legal solutions for clients on their most critical opportunities and challenges in Asia and beyond.
This office also provides a gateway to significant markets across Asia-Pacific (including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, China, Korea, Australia and India), recognizing the region’s role as a critical driver of global energy consumption.
Singapore is an important shipping and commodities trading hub, and a center for LNG, oil and gas and power. The broader region also presents significant opportunities for the development of hydrogen and CCUS projects, as well as renewables and other energy transition initiatives. In addition, there are very significant regional requirements for infrastructure investment, including in transportation and logistics, as well as new digital infrastructure, sectors in which Baker Botts has deep experience.
The firm has a well-earned reputation for outstanding client service across the globe, and our presence in Singapore demonstrates our commitment to the region and our ability to respond to our clients’ most complex legal needs around the world.
