AmCham EU 38th Annual Competition Policy Conference
Baker Botts is delighted to sponsor the 38th Annual Competition Policy Conference, which is being held in-person and virtually on Wednesday 17 November 2021.
The European Commission aims to pave they way for fairer and more digital markets following the introduction of the Digital Markets Act. Similarly, the Commission’s Proposal on Foreign Subsidies looks to create a level playing field where companies from around the globe can compete within the Single Market.
The EU and U.S. representatives on the panel will discuss the implication of these initiatives for the EU's role on the international stage as well as exchange views on the development of efficient competition policies that reflect the needs and interests of businesses and consumers.
The conference will include two panel sessions and a keynote speech by Olivier Guersent, Director-General, Directorate-General for Competition, European Commission followed by a moderated Q&A.
