Chun Xu's practice includes patent litigation and trials before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), including inter partes reviews and post grant reviews. His practice also includes other matters in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), including ex parte reexaminations and patent prosecution. He is skilled in complex high-tech technologies in electrical engineering and computer science, with particular experience in wireless communication, signal processing, and semiconductor manufacturing. Beyond district court and ITC litigations, his experience further encompasses over ten IPRs.
Chun has litigated matters concerning semiconductors, from manufacturing to implementation, including chemical etching as well as physical and chemical vapor deposition. His experience further includes cases concerning chip design, including digital signal processing chips for multimedia streaming and wireless communication chipsets under 3G, 4G, and LTE standards. Chun’s engineering background further enables him to analyze ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) design and FPGA ((Field-Programmable Gate Array)) programming.
