Sean Lee works on a range of intellectual property matters focusing on patent prosecution, litigation, and post-grant review proceedings.
Leveraging his experience as an engineer, Sean oversees and prosecutes patent applications relating to a wide range of technologies, including software, machine learning, computer vision, autonomous vehicles, aviation manufacturing, financial services, virtual/augmented reality, and telecommunication. Sean also works on a variety of litigation matters in district courts, before the International Trade Commission, and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. The subject matter of Sean's litigation experience includes communication networks and hardware, data storage, video codec, televisions, audio systems, digital scales, medical imaging, and cosmetic products.
Prior to joining Baker Botts, Sean was a telecommunication engineer at Alcatel-Lucent (acquired by Nokia), where he deployed upgrades to Sprint's network. Sean also served as an open-source legal intern at GitHub.
