Kira Gill is a creative, solutions-driven IP litigator who focuses primarily on patent litigation in federal district courts. Based in the Bay Area, she has had the opportunity to serve clients across a wide range of technologies, including software, location-based tracking systems, telecommunications, medical devices, fitness technology, and advanced imaging and display technologies.
Kira’s practice spans district court, appellate, and PTAB matters, with deep experience in fast-moving and complex patent cases. She has litigated extensively for both plaintiffs and defendants which allows her to bring unique tactical strategy to her cases. Kira has experience across all phases of litigation, including conducting pre-suit investigations, managing fact and expert discovery, developing venue and jurisdictional strategies, technical strategy, briefing summary judgment, and trial preparation.
Kira is also committed to mentorship and community engagement. She is an active member of her firm’s Women-in-Action group and serves as a mentor for the UC Hastings Law Journal and the South Asian Bar Association. She also mentors high school students interested in law through Balboa High School in San Francisco.
Kira received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2022. She received her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and a minor in Chemistry from San Jose State University in 2019.
