Overview

Paul Eichelman is the firm's Chief Financial Officer. In his role, Paul leads Baker Botts' strategic and operational finance capabilities, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, financial reporting, billing and collections, audit, tax, treasury, and related financial technology and systems.

Paul has extensive experience in managing the global finance operations of professional services firms, including more than 20 years in the advertising industry and more than a decade in the legal industry. Paul's focus on improving financial performance, coupled with continuous process improvements, allows organizations to bring their strategic goals to life. Paul's inclusive leadership style allows for strong teams of motivated professionals to help deliver short-term financial results as well as longer-term strategic goals.

Before joining Baker Botts, Paul served as global CFO for Baker McKenzie for more than eight years. There he helped improve the firm's financial performance while strengthening its balance sheet, capital position and internal controls. He also played a key role in the firm's financial systems migration to SAP. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Paul worked at global advertising agency Leo Burnett Worldwide for 20+ years, including three years working in London as the EMEA CFO, followed by 8 years as the agency's global CFO.
