Baker Botts Represents Liberty Networks in Agreement with Sparkle and Gold Data on New Pan-Regional Subsea Cable System
Deal description: Baker Botts LLP acted as legal advisor to Liberty Networks (“LN”) in connection with the MANTA system, a new subsea cable system connecting Mexico, the United States, and Central and Latin America. MANTA brings together Liberty Networks and their consortium partners, Telecom Italia Sparkle and Gold Data, with SubCom engaged to design, manufacture, and install the system.
The MANTA system is expected to span more than 5,400 km, connecting landing points in North Miami (USA), San Blas (USA), Veracruz (Mexico), Cancun (Mexico), Cartagena (Colombia), and Maria Chiquita (Panama).
