Jared Wigginton is an environmental and natural resources attorney who delivers first-rate service to his clients. Mr. Wigginton's practice centers on environmental litigation, regulatory advocacy and counseling, and permitting strategies for infrastructure development. He serves an array of clients, including power and energy companies, manufacturers, water and other utilities, trade associations, and fisheries. Mr. Wigginton's services include defending client interests in enforcement actions and litigation, such as citizen suits, regulatory appeals, mass environmental torts, and other complex litigation; developing tailored regulatory, permitting, and compliance strategies; and providing litigation and regulatory analyses for business planning purposes. Clients rely on Mr. Wigginton to assist with issues arising under, among other laws, the National Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Freedom of Information Act, and multiple federal and state constitutional and common law principles.
In addition to this work, Mr. Wigginton maintains an active pro bono practice and serves in a leadership role in a French-speaking congregation of his church. Before joining Baker Botts, Mr. Wigginton was an attorney at another U.S. business law firm in Seattle, Washington; clerked for the Honorable Michael L. Douglas of the Nevada Supreme Court; volunteered for two years in the Republic of Congo and Cameroon; and taught at the high school level in his hometown of Riverside, California.
