Dr. Amy Song's practice focuses on life sciences and medical device patent prosecution and counseling. Dr. Song's experience includes preparing and prosecuting patents in diverse technological fields and conducting intellectual property due diligence, patentability, infringement and freedom to operate assessments.
Prior to joining Baker Botts, Dr. Song conducted postdoctoral research at Yale University School of Medicine and Department of Immunobiology. Her research focused on understanding the effects of aging on innate immune system and the development of cardiovascular disease.
Her Doctorate research at Oregon State University was to understand the combined effects of food antioxidants, phytochemicals, and exercise on DNA damage and oxidative stress. She also received medical and clinical training from Peking University.
