Noah Schottenstein is a member of the Restructuring Group. He represents debtors and creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy and financial restructuring matters. Prior to joining Baker Botts, Noah was a Trial Attorney at the United States Department of Justice, where he represented the government in bankruptcy-related litigation and appeals of national importance and advised senior government officials on bankruptcy-related issues and legislation.
While at the Department of Justice, Noah was a member of the litigation team that brought about the largest civil settlement in history, the $25 billion National Mortgage Settlement; worked on numerous high-profile bankruptcy cases, including Lehman Brothers, Detroit, Solyndra, American Airlines, Kodak, and the Yellowstone Club; briefed and argued select bankruptcy appeals in the district courts, bankruptcy appellate panels, and courts of appeals; and advised the Office of the Solicitor General on bankruptcy appeals before the Supreme Court.
