Jay B. Schiller works on a range of intellectual property matters, primarily focused on patent litigation and patent prosecution. Mr. Schiller has litigation experience in motion practice, claim construction and invalidity analysis. He also has experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications relating to a wide range of technologies, including computer hardware, software and telecommunications.
Mr. Schiller received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in May 2014. While at Hastings, he served as a research assistant for Patent and Copyright law professors. He also worked as a Senior Article Editor on the Hastings Science and Technology Law Journal. During law school, Mr. Schiller served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Jeffrey S. White of the United States District Court of Northern California.
Mr. Schiller received his bachelor’s degree in computer science and philosophy from Westmont College. Prior to law school, he spent two years playing tennis on the professional circuit.
