Euan A. Pinkerton is a Riyadh-based partner who advises on both the development and finance aspects of projects, as well as corporate and capital markets matters.
Euan takes a 'whole-project' approach to advising clients, from the initial establishment of the project vehicle, through the planning and development stages and on to financial close. He advises on both the developmental and financial aspects of projects (in the latter case, including conventional, Islamic and capital market modes of financing).
With nearly 20 years experience, Euan has advised on a large number of important projects as well as corporate and securities transactions in Saudi Arabia, the wider Middle East and internationally.
Industry sectors in which Euan advises include power and energy (with particular emphasis on oil and gas), petrochemicals, defense, infrastructure, manufacturing and real estate.
Euan has advised on Middle Eastern matters since 1999, and has been living and working in Saudi Arabia since 2011. He was previously based in London for 14 years.
In addition to projects, financing and corporate work, Euan regularly advises clients on financial regulatory matters in Saudi Arabia, including banking and insurance (as regulated by SAMA, the Saudi central bank) and capital markets issues (as regulated by the Saudi Capital Markets Authority).
