Frank ("Gus") Biggio represents multinational clients doing business in the Middle East, North Africa and beyond, across a broad range of industries and practices, including corporate finance, multijurisdictional M&A and cyber security. He has played an integral role in transactions in the energy, infrastructure, transportation and industrial sectors for public and private companies, sovereign wealth funds, banks and private equity funds. He also has experience with information security, cyber crime and cyber risk matters, including incident response situations.
Prior to joining Baker Botts' Dubai office, Mr. Biggio spent over five years in Dubai managing a $100 million private equity firm that he was recruited to co-found and which invested across the MENA region in the construction, telecoms and energy industries.
Mr. Biggio has gained significant in-house experience through secondments with one of the world's largest investment banks and a global leader in the automotive sector. He has also worked for a major Wall Street bank where he managed client trust and custody accounts, securities lending arrangements, and commodities investment strategies.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Biggio served as an infantryman in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he deployed overseas in support of various operations. His personal awards as a U.S. Marine include the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with two additional service stars.
