Global Projects and Energy
Our New York based Global Projects and Energy lawyers represent major energy industry, infrastructure and petrochemical companies as well as other corporate clients both domestically and internationally, primarily on large-scale and complex transactional matters. Our practice covers the entire spectrum of the energy space, including project development and financing activities from alternative energy to LNG to oil and gas. We also represent private equity and infrastructure funds in the development, acquisition and financing of their investments in the energy sector. We routinely handle all nature of project related contracts, including engineering, procurement and construction contracts, power purchase, tolling and other off-take agreements, fuel supply and transportation agreements, joint development agreements, joint venture agreements, partnership and limited liability company agreements, and loan agreements and other financing related documentation. Our experience includes structuring transactions involving both regulated and unregulated companies in the electric power, oil & gas, mining & metals, petrochemical and other industries. In the electric power sector, our experience includes project development and M&A involving all manner of power plants, including wind, solar, hydro, gas-fired (peaker, combined cycle and cogeneration), coal, nuclear, landfill gas, biomass and other alternative energy facilities as well as power transmission lines.

We are experienced with the tax incentives available for renewable energy projects, including the production tax credit (PTC), investment tax credit (ITC) and U.S. Treasury cash grant program, as well as strategies for participation of tax equity investors in such projects.
