Walt Smith is the managing partner of Baker Botts, a position he has held since 2003. Prior to becoming managing partner, his practice focused primarily on public offerings, specialized securities transactions, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital investments.

Following graduation from law school, Mr. Smith served as a law clerk to the Honorable E.A. Tamm of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
