Baker Botts is a co-sponsor of the 18th annual Berkeley-Stanford Advanced Patent Law Institute on December 14 and 15 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA.  The APLI is co-organized by the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology and Stanford Law School and presents a roster of judges, academics, litigators, patent prosecutors, and senior IP counsel from major corporations offering an in-depth look at the latest developments in patent law and practice.

Palo Alto Partner Hopkins Guy is the Presiding Officer of the 2017 event.  

Palo Alto Partner Harper Batts is presenting on a PTAB Practice and Strategy panel on December 15.  The panel will discuss what petitioners and patent owners need to know in an era of tapering institution and claim cancellation rates and in view of increasingly aggressive Federal Circuit review.
