ACC CLE Program: Outlook for International Trade and Foreign Policy and its Impact on Cross-Border Transactions

In partnership with the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) the Baker Botts Washington office will host a special program for in-house counsel and compliance professionals on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Speakers will include Baker Botts partners Georg Berrisch, Ginger Faulk and Matthew West, and Senior Counsel at Praxair, Inc. Shari Sacks.

Changes to U.S. foreign trade policies that have been proposed by the Trump Administration will impact U.S. and multinational companies across a range of sectors. Attorneys from Baker Botts Washington, DC and Brussels offices, along with an in-house ACC representative, will discuss the current state of and outlook for sanctions against Russia and Iran, winners and losers under the Trump Administration’s import policy agenda, and the potential for challenge in the World Trade Organization. The panel will examine real-world issues and practical strategies to successfully mitigate risk and capitalize on international trade opportunities.
