2016 Energy Litigation Outlook: How Low Hydrocarbon Prices Create New Litigation Risks

Houston

Baker Botts lawyers will host a presentation and discussion on how depressed hydrocarbon prices will increase the risks for certain types of litigation. Our presentation will include an overview of the litigation risks related to energy operations, transportation, and finance in a decreased price environment, to be followed by a corporate counsel panel discussion.

Confirmed panelists include:

  • Kevin McDonald - Deputy General Counsel, Marathon Oil Corporation
  • Kevin O'Neal - Supervising Counsel, Chevron Corporation
  • Robert Vote - Assistant General Counsel, EOG Resources

These panelists will be joined by Bill Kroger, Jason Newman, Michael Cancienne and Meghan McElvy, members of Baker Botts’ Energy Litigation Practice, which in 2015 has been named one of the top 5 U.S. energy litigation teams by Legal 500 and among Law360’s “Energy Groups of the Year.”
