FAQs for Paralegals

1. Does each office do its own recruiting and hiring?
Yes. If you are interested in working in a particular office location, please send your resume packet (resume, transcript and writing sample) to the contact person for that office. If you are interested in more than one office location, please send your resume packet to the paralegal contact in each of the offices in which you have an interest.

Yes. Paralegals who have demonstrated exceptional performance are considered for promotion to senior paralegals after they have been in a paralegal position with the firm for at least three years and have worked as a paralegal for at least five years. Senior paralegals enjoy an enhanced benefits package and increased educational opportunities and often serve as case managers and trainers. Paralegals have also been promoted to administrative positions in the firm.

3. How is the compensation package structured?
The compensation package has three components: a monthly base salary, overtime pay for any hours worked in excess of a regular work week and an annual bonus.

4. Does the firm pay professional association dues?
Yes, for approved professional associations.

5. Does the firm offer opportunities for continuing legal education?
Yes. Paralegals have the opportunity to attend a local continuing education seminar each year. Generally these seminars have been approved for CLE credit for those individuals interested in maintaining certifications they have received. The firm also offers in-house training opportunities to ensure that paralegals remain up to date in their practice area.
