The New York office is looking for an intellectual property associate who has experience in the area of medical devices, consumer products, and the electro-mechanical arts. Candidates should have a J.D. and an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, civil engineering, material science or physics. Graduate degree a plus. Candidates should have 2-4 years of solid experience with patent prosecution work.

Approximately 25 percent of the work for this position centers on patent prosecution. The remainder generally involves product development/opinion work, due diligence reviews (researching potential product and company acquisitions and risks) and a small amount of litigation support. The position entails a great deal of client contact and counseling.
