Brooke Geren represents plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of civil litigation matters, including commercial disputes, securities actions and arbitrations and personal injury matters.
Ms. Geren’s commercial work focuses on contract disputes. In the area of securities litigation, she defends companies and individuals in suits and arbitrations involving such allegations as breach of contract, fraud and securities laws violations. Ms. Geren has also represented the electric utility in a wide range of personal injury and property damage disputes and has tried multiple cases for the utility to jury or bench verdict.

- Major automobile manufacturer – multibillion dollar commercial dispute involving warranty and pricing claims arising out of an exclusive supplier’s design and manufacture of diesel engines
- Delaware corporation and its directors – putative class action involving a breach of fiduciary duty claim resolved in favor of defendants on summary judgment
- The City of Houston – two lawsuits involving claims that the City of Houston’s SAFE CLEAR towing ordinances were preempted by federal and state laws and were unconstitutional
- Major accounting firm – lawsuit alleging causes of action for statutory and common law securities violations and conspiracy to commit fraud, summary judgment in favor of accounting firm affirmed on appeal
